Grant tried peaches today and I think it''s the first time he didn''t make a face. He also likes drinking from a cup-with Mommy holding and making sure he doesn''t get too much milk in one swallow.
Yestereday Grant decided to start rolling from back to tummy-in his sleep-so there was no one watching this milestone. He had a taste of his first fruit-applesauce. You should have seen the look of disgust on his face!!! But he never turns down a bite for more.
Call me crazy, but I made my own baby food the other night. Green beans, sweet peas and applesauce. The applesauce was super easy cuz I just bought a jar of Mott''s Organic unsweetened and sucked it up with a turkey baster and into the ice cube trays. Yup, I''m a genius. The veggies were a little more work though. Wether or not I continue this labor of love remains to be seen.
Our six month old has his check-up Tuesday at 4:00; he''s fitting into some 12-month clothes already. He has two teeth, sits up and twists and turns trying to reach for things. He grabbed and held his bottle for the first time on Father''s Day, but Dad was asleep. He seems to tolerate green beans, and likes peas and squash. Will update with length and weight after he visits the Dr.
Finally! He''s rolling from tummy to back. Right now he loves to sit up or stand (with help), razzing, and sucking in that lower lip. Still enthralled by the dogs.
His four month check-up was Tuesday and all is well. Got the go ahead to start cereal. His first taste was tonight-the "push it out" reflex is still there.
Grant''s doing well. Has a cold right now, but otherwise he''s a happy healthy boy! He''s started holding his hands together on the 31st. He''s also found his feet...which are very nimble. He''s very dexterous when it comes to his kick and play bouncer!
He''s discovered his hands-the right one tastes WAY better than the left. It was his first week in daycare and Mom did okay-no tears or tantrums. We think we''ve found him a happy place to stay while we''re away! While there, he got his first love note-way to go, Grant!
Grant had his two month check-up on the 19th-weighing in at 15.03 pounds, 24.25 inches long, and a head circumference of 41.5 cm. He now sleeps all by his lonesome in his big boy crib all through the night. He''s awesome!
Grant was the guest of honor at his first party on Saturday. There was lots of food, including appetizers, chili and cake. He got some baby booty including clothes, toys, baby necessities and a cool homemade camo quilt!
Grant is doing great! He sleeps through the night and has a hearty appetite. He''s already outgrown quite a few outfits. His next well-baby check-up is on the 17th.
He is feeling much better today after getting lots of rest. Appetite seems to have returned, and he is cooing. He loves to stare at the deer heads, which I''m sure makes his daddy proud.
